This is not a collection of pre-recorded, step-by-step instruction videos. This is a LIVE weekly art workshop studio, built with socialization and collaboration in mind!
ALL instruction is LIVE! Students will have the opportunity to work not only with their teacher in real time, but also with their classmates in small groups or pairs to work through artistic challenges and grow their art skills and community of creative friends.

THE ARTIST'S LAB

🎨 Live Weekly Art Studio (Not Pre-Recorded)
This is a fully LIVE, interactive art workshop, not a collection of step-by-step videos. Every class is taught in real time so students can ask questions, receive guidance, and grow alongside their peers.

Students learn foundational art skills like line using accessible, low-cost supplies. The focus is on learning how to think like an artist, not just finishing a project.

Each class intentionally includes partner and small-group art challenges that encourage conversation, collaboration, and creative friendships...without forced participation.

🧠 Guided Instruction + Creative Freedom
Students receive clear instruction and demonstrations, followed by open-ended projects that allow for personal expression and unique outcomes. No cookie-cutter art here.

Classes close with optional sharing and discussion, helping students build confidence, articulate their ideas, and appreciate others’ work in a pressure-free environment.

This class prioritizes curiosity, emotional safety, and creative growth. Students are encouraged to experiment, take risks, and develop their authentic artistic voice.

🎒 Weekly Art Club Hangout
Students may also join an optional weekly Art Club Hangout! This is a relaxed, open studio space where kids can work on independent art projects, share hobbies, and engage in creative conversation alongside friends. Students are welcome to share works-in-progress, request artistic guidance, or gather feedback from the teacher and group in a safe, supportive environment.

Good to see you here! I’m Jeanette Lynn, founder of Mastery Music & Arts and The Artist's Lab for Homeschoolers!
I created The Artist's Lab because after many years of teaching art classes privately and through community-based programs, I've seen the need for robust arts education specifically for the needs of homeschoolers!
As a homeschooling mom of two very creative boys, I see firsthand that our community needs financially accessible, high-quality arts education that truly harnesses the capabilities and flexibility of online technology along with the type of transformative learning that can only take place through live social interaction and real-time feedback.
